Valve Selection Tool
Engine Gayds
Engine Gayds
GAYD material refers to technical alloys used especially for parts exposed to friction and wear, such as valve guides in engines. These materials are selected based on factors like performance, durability, and heat resistance.
GAYD Material
G:
A guide material made of phosphorus-alloyed pearlitic gray cast iron. It is wear-resistant and enhances coating durability.
G1:
Phosphorus-alloyed pearlitic gray cast iron that forms a protective layer against wear even under poor lubrication conditions.
B:
A manganese bronze guide material. Offers suitable thermal conductivity and coating resistance. Commonly used in modern engines.
B1:
A high-performance phosphorus bronze alloy that withstands high temperatures and friction. Highly sensitive to wear under severe conditions.
S03:
A sheet-phosphorus alloy that provides excellent resistance under heavy-duty operating conditions in high-performance engines of gas, LPG, and diesel vehicles.
